It was totally comfy with me, from just a few m away. That bird would be after mice for three hours, make 40 dives and get maybe a half dozen as the clover was very thick. I fed it mice I caught in the camp... maybe it might have done better elsewhere but knew where the best buffet in town was? Of course, one rabbit or one grouse every now and then (there were LOTS) was enough to make it stay around?.... hmmm... maybe the mice were just icing? In any case, I shall always remember "Beaker". |
