I will be on holiday in Yorkshire, England from the 27th of June to the 9th of July. Are there any folkfestivals or concerts in the area?

A friend of mine who just moved there says it's the centre of the universe for that sort of thing. He lives in Cleckheaton.

Try the 'Living Tradition' site. They've got extensive listings. http://www.folkmusic.net/index.htm

Music session every Wed evening 8.30pm onwards at the Jug Chapel Haddesley (next door to Eggborough Power Station, just off jtn. 34 M62 motorway). A friendly group who make visitors welcome.
