That's right....he doesn't get down here that often. However, he's at our place in Twickenham on Sunday 11th Jan. Plenty of tickets left too....if we can sell a few more we can move from a small room to a big one!

All welcome and no membership required. Tickets available from
http://www.wegottickets.com/location/466

ps this is the gig that was postponed at short notice from last October when Vin unfortunately had lost his voice. He's now gone out of his way to fill the first available date we had and will actually be travelling down south specifically for this one date. So hopefully we can get a good enough crowd to make it well worth his while!

In other words....please spread the word and tell your friends!

Vin tries to limit his appearances to approx. 8 or 10 a month due to the rigours of travelling and his well-catalogued illness from which he is thankfully recovered. He is booked a Year in advance and I know he was well-miffed to miss the original Twickfolk gig. What a great opportunity for our friends in the South to see this marvellous performer who should also have you leaving the Cabbage Patch with a smile on your face. Credit crunch or not ,this is an occasion not to be missed.

Vin once said to me that he couldnt get gigged within the M25 area, London had proved difficult to break into.

He is the Guvnor

It'll be a great night

We sold a few more at Sunday's "Sinners Night".

So it looks as if we'll have a not unreasonable crowd for Vin on the 11th (sixty odd).

Plenty of room for a few more though....

He's even better now

60 is a goodly start, its a guaranteed great night, we could only cram that number in at the Windward gig.

A few more now sold....if you'd like to come to see Vin please buy an advance ticket.

We'll still be in the smaller room as it stands....but if we sell a few more the pub will let us move to a bigger upstairs room. It means they would have to staff a separate bar so we'd need to be able to give them a few days notice.

If however we're still downstairs and a load of folks turn up on spec we might not be able to get everyone in!

70 tickets now sold so we're going to be moving to the bigger upstairs room...

Advance ticket purchase still advisable if you want to absolutely ensure getting a seat though...but there'll still be plenty of standing room for those who prefer to just drift along on the night.

It'll be packed on the night at Twickenham - people talk on Friday and Saturday about where they're going at the weekend - and lots will not want to miss this guy who brightened up their Summer(s) with his performances at Festivals they attended .
Twickfolk you've worked hard, so make sure you don't miss out on a single second of his performance.
Have a great night .
Cheers Betsy

Thanks, Betsy....

I've just checked again and confirmed sales are now 82. Tickets are still onsale on the interwebby for another 24 hours.

With a few 'walk ups' we might even get into three figures which should make for a really nice atmosphere!

OK....since you ask, Breezy we're happy to oblige!

84 now....advance rate tickets will remain on sale till sometime tomorrow afternoon.

After that it'll be cash on the door

The interesting thing is that we'd only sold 48 for the original date in October....almost all of that total stayed with us for the rearranged date (I think only two claimed a refund) but this time we've obviously gained a load more.

Mmmm, maybe this is a business model we should repeat!

Twickfolk - I'll bet you a shilling that there will be more than 100 ( easily)

You were right, Betsy...turnover was around £1160 which by a rough estimate means we must've had about 110 folks paying in the end. Everyone was well chuffed.

Vin caught us on the hop by turning up with a "film crew". He's been filming on and off for the last couple of years for his "40 Years on the Road" DVD....if I'd have known I might've put on a bit of extra mascara and a spot of hair gel. Never mind....it was a good night. Vin was on top form....three barrels of bitter got drunk (plus a fair few Guinnesses) and would you believe he over-ran by about 25 minutes?

Everyone's a winner then - and by the - way Vin's only got a cheap watch which would account for the over-run.
Nah - seriously, I know it pissed him off to cancel the original booking and he would be chuffed to put things right, which it sounds as though he did.
Good luck to all.
