Friday 27th February, 2009. 8-12midnight. A fun, relaxed and chilled evening with music from Helian Keys, Wild Wolds Women and Friends. Candlelight. Bar. Raffle.Bring your own nibbles/banquet (and cutlery/crockery if needed!) Yummy Puddings on sale to make it a perfect evening!:-) The cause we are supporting for this event, is Eastwood Care Home's Minibus Appeal. The Eastwood Care Home is a home for the elderly over 65s. It is a dual registered home, which cares for dementia and residential clients. They have activities every day of the week, from bingo to crafts, dancing, singing etc. Their current aim is to raise funds for a mini bus to take their clients on day trips out. This will greatly enhance their wellbeing and enable them to take part in more activities, which they are limited to take part in without transport. Eastwood care team and residents would very much appreciate any donations or fundraising from those able to help. We would love raffle prizes. We have also offers of meal for two vouchers and hair cut vouchers and are looking into other similar donations. Anyone who sells minibuses, please feel free to offer a minibus or maybe a wheel, at least! :-) On the night, we are selling desserts so any offers to make a dessert to be sold towards the appeal gratefully received. It will be around the £5-6 mark and all profits (which will be about £4) will go to the charity. Anyone who is interested please PM me for info, or for details of how to buy the CD. We had a great response to our single a couple of years back so if this one does even half as well we will be pleased. Just checked and WWW are playing for a private party March 21st, the same night as that Maclaine Colsten and Saul Rose gig at Faldingworth Live...it is typical as it sounded really good. :-( I am sure you will be booked up before very soon. He is great at promoting our local live music scene on his show and we had an enjoyable live session there, with him, a couple of months ago. |

Also, redoing a couple of tracks to get it exactly how we want it...so it is in doubt whether it will be finished 'proper' although we have a draft version. I shouldn't have spoken too soon! A bit frustrating but I guess we will get there in the end! Uptake re the charity night is looking promising and already we should have enough there for it to be a good evening. |
