BS: Obama petition

Here's a cut and paste of a message about Obama's plans, if you're interested.

Subject: Obama's plan under attack

Hi,

The bad news: Unemployment has hit a 16-year high.

The good news: Obama just laid out a bold plan for how to get out of this economic crisis. He wants to invest in clean energy, green jobs, and health care.

But the most important parts of Obama's plan are already under attack by oil and health insurance lobbyists!

I signed a petition urging Congress to pass Obama's economic plan right away. Can you join me at the link below?

Thanks!

No.

Unless some of that pork comes my way.

You've got it, Kendall. My signature and comment are winging their way east.

Interestingly, the US pundits now seem to be saying again that the UK has the way to deal with banks right, so the German Chancellor can send you a U-boat charging you with "simplistic Keynsianism" too. But we all know that Keynsian measures worked in the 1930s.

I tried, Bert, and signed the petition. But the final step for submitting my signature involved agreeing to donate or volunteer time (with no third alternative), neither of which I can do at this time, so I don't know my signature took.
