An icon of folk music comes back to Montreal.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We are thrilled to announce that folk music icon Tom Paxton will be performing at the April installment of the Wintergreen Concert series. A veteran of the Greenwich Village basket house scene and an important voice in American folk music, Paxton has been performing for over 45 years.

"Tom's songs have a way of sneaking up on you. You find yourself humming them, whistling them, and singing a verse to a friend. Like the songs of Woody Guthrie, they're becoming part of America." – Pete Seeger

"Tom Paxton embodies the spirit of folk music in the most beautiful sense…He's the coolest." – Ani DiFranco

"[His] songs are so powerful and lyrical, written from the heart and the conscience, and they reach their mark, our innermost being." – Judy Collins

"Tom Paxton ranks up there with the Beatles [and] Bob Dylan…for the number of songs he's written that everyone seems to know." – Dirty Linen

This is a production of Matt Large's Hello Darlin' Productions.

I remember several great nights with Tom Paxton at Mike Regenstreif's Golem on Stanley Street.

I got to see Tom a couple of years ago here in San Diego at a University of California San Diego venue. He continues to challenge, delight and amaze. Don't miss him if you are near the area.

C. Ham: I'll bet you were there when we saw him several times. What performances they were: laughter to tears within minutes!
Yes, Adrien, we intend to go. To us he's a don't- miss-if-you-can-avoid it- entertainer ,as GUEST, TJ said..
