Have you tried the obvious, like the Shanty Crew (the real one, or indeed the spinoff) , or Kimber's Men, or contacted Peter Collins or Tom Lewis?

Getting Tom Lewis over from Canada might prove a tad expensive, not to mention difficult to arrange at short notice!

Surely there used to be a shanty crew (description, not name) based somewhere neat the Cutty Sark didn't there?

Have you contacted Chris Bennett? Whatever happened to the rest of Focsle?

The original Shanty Crew has disbanded. Chris Roche has been trying to get another group together, but there is a spin-off group which have now re-named themselves and they are London based. Dave West is involved and I have his contact details if you would like them

In another thread, concerning the imminent demise of folk clubs, I said things can't be as bad as all that, as I'd just heard that two young people were starting a folk club. Well, that is what this thread is about. Give them your support, people!

hi Greg
we have tried but no reply to my email yet or pm from my post here???
we might be able to put them in touch with some one who could help,i know they are looking for a group rather than a duo.
we are all for helping out if we can.
some more detail would be great, ie exact location. inside or out, set times and if P.A. system available.
take care
