23 Jan 09 - 09:50 AM (#2546972) Subject: RE: field recorders collective From: GUEST,BanjoRay I met Ray Alden at Clifftop in August where he had a stall for the Field Recorders Collective, with some superb CDs for sale. Foaotmad has reviewed some of these CDs in issues of the British magazine the Old Time News over the last year or so. The website has back issues after they've been out a while. They've also been reviewed for years in the US magazine Old Time Herald. The Field Recorders Collective are a dedicated non-profit making bunch of people. Excess money from the CD sales after expenses goes to surviving members of the musicians' families. Ray |
