23 Jan 09 - 01:20 PM (#2547157) Subject: Inauguration quartet taped their set From: Wesley S It turns out that the preformance of Cellist Yo-Yo Ma, violinist Itzhak Perlman, pianist Gabriella Montero and clarinetist Anthony McGill was a taped performance. Due to the cold weather they decided that it would be impossible to keep their instruments in tune and so they performed to a recording they had made earlier. I know that I was thinking at the time that surely they wouldn't bring their best - and priceless instruments - to an outdoor gig like this one. So I can't really blame them.
