Is that fencing as in putting a fence round a garden or something you do in traditional folk songs, when the bloke catches his missus out and then challenges the bloke to a dual with swords?

We're looking forward to the long journey south - around 160 miles for us - as we've heard good things about Mr. Coe, and never having seen him, it will be a worthwhile trip...

...oh, and we're looking forward to our slot as well!

See y'all soon,
Graeme,
Brother Crow.

Pete is always excellent value for money. That's why he is known as the "one man folk festival".
It's 12,000 miles too far for me I'm afraid but give him a hug from me.

However if he knows you and I can pass your full name on, I will give him best wishes from you.

roff is the general name for a set of type-setting programs, known under names like troff, nroff, ditroff, groff, etc. A roff type-setting system consists of an extensible text formatting language and a set of programs for printing and converting to other text formats.

You can run Faldingworth Live Paul and if you move to Faldingworth, you can go and see Lincoln City as often as you like.

oooh I am listening to a load of Cara Dillon songs at the moment on Spotify. Oooh does that lady get the hairs raised on the back of my neck. If I could get a grant, I would have no hesitation in getting her and Sam Lakeman (piano and all) to Faldingworth. Any offers from some wealthy folkies. Front seats for sponsors. If you don't know what spotify is google it. You can get it for free, if you put up with a short advert every 30 minutes or so.

Do you know Paul, I always thought that there was something Fishy about Tim. Isn't calling Tim a Codhead being rascist :-)

What an excellent turnout last night, about 75 on Valentines Night (can't be bad). Thanks to one and all for coming along and supporting us once again.

Brother Crow opened the evening and provided us with half an hour of very nice songs. Thanks for that guys and hope you got home safely.

Pete Coe is Pete Coe. Excellent 90 minutes of varied songs with a great selection of different instruments. What can I say other than thanks Pete and of Course Sue Coe for her Appalachian Flat Footing. Pete has a new fan who is aged 6 as well as other attendees who had never seen him before. The young lad loved what Pete did. I think Pete allowed him to have a go on his Bouzouki. He even had the women on stage after the concert, having a look at his Appalachian Dulcimer. What a lovely instrument is that, and beautifully played by Pete.

Thanks to Gwenda & Terry for the sound and hope you didn't get home too late and that the RAC got out to you quickly.

So to the next concert Saturday March 21st when we have Maclaine Colston and Saul Rose as our main guests with Jiva as our support spot. For info about them click on this link Maclaine Colston & Saul Rose

Pete was fantastic, and we were sorry we couldn't stay to watch the second half...but us wimps and our long journeys home!!!

Faldingworth is a gem of a venue, and you should all get yourselves along for a great night...

We were ready to leave at 11.40.after a great evening and were finally delivered home, car and all, on a recovery vehicle at 3 a.m. on Sunday morning. We got to bed at 3.30. only for the cat to wake us at 5.30. when it set off the burglar alarm.Still, we wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Where the experts failed, Terry has succeeded (I think that's how you spell it). He got the old car to fire up this morning. I wish he could do that with human beings.(especially me)

Maybe there is a connection with Terry and the bat from Faldingworth.

Could it have been the BAT TERRY

Maybe you should sing this too him Gwenda

Take Your Time

1. You first wound my clock up on our wedding day
You said it would always be striking
Though the spring's getting weaker and feeble the tick
It's still very much to me liking.

Chorus
So take your time, me lovely old lad
There ain't no reason to hurry
For as long as you're able to wind up me clock
Then I have no reason to worry.

2. I mind the time when we were young
You worked at the hedging and binding
You'd go out at dawn and come home through the dusk
Coming home for me clock to be winding.

3. As time went by, our children grew up
Were soon making wedding vows binding
And all of my daughters the same thing I taught
Make sure your clock always needs winding.

4. And now that we're nearing the end of our time
And you are so tired and grey, love
It still pleases me when you wind up me clock
And it will till the end of my days, love.

LOL :-)
