Gibson ES-325 info

I have just inherited a beautiful Gibson E-325 in walnut. I don't know much about electric instruments and although there's plenty of info on the 335, there's not much on the 325. It was bought in 1974 and is in superb condition even though my father-in-law used it almost dailiy as he was a semi-pro musician. I also got a Fender twin reverb valve amp which I think is older than the guitar.

I also need to insure it, so can anyone give me an indication of value (in GB£). Thanks a lot.

Well, this guitar is certainly not as famous as it's cousin the ES-335.

Production seems to start in 1972 with a walnut top. This guitar is considered versitile by Rock and Country players.

Estimated value: minimum of 1000 pound Sterling, maximum of 2000.

You have just aquired a fantastic instrument I suggest you start playing jazz or the blues or else get rid of it. It should make five or six grand !!

Forgot to say, it must have the origional case with it, and forget what the previous contributors have said they are talking new ones

I'm also assuming its a dot one (solid blocking)

I think that if you don't play blues or jazz sell it at a good price i would buy one at 1,600 dollars.
