From: Q (Frank Staplin)

Lotto Netherlands has just informed me (final notice) that I have won $2.5 million in an online cyber lotto.
I have decided to offer, out of the goodness of my heart, chances to share in my good fortune.
I am selling a limited number of shares (*) at (price to be determined) to my fellow mudcats.
Please send in your orders in the next 24 hours (none accepted after midnight, Jan 24, 2009.

I have just received a 'final notification' letter from 'Loteria Primitiva' saying 'This is to inform you on the release of the International lottery promotion program held on 20th of December, 2008. Due to mix up of some numbers and names, the results was released on the 18th of JANUARY. 2009.' [their grammar and punctuation]
As a result of this 'mix up' it appears that my numbers came up in the '3rd category' and I have won 715,410.00 euros.
There is a comprehensive form for me to fill in with my name, address, phone number, bank details, and next of kin's name, address, phone number, etc.

And what a coincidence! Several months ago I had an 'award claim final notification' letter from the 'El-Gordo Lotteria Primitiva' saying that I had won the lottery in the 3rd category, and if I provided all those personal details I would receive 615,810.00 euros.

So my advice to you is to ignore the letter, and in a few months time you will win an even bigger prize ...

Do you happen to know any Nigerian scammers that could use your winnings?

Thanks for reminding me, I must check my numbers...

I rarely if ever win, (see 'raffles in folk clubs' thread) but it's a little bit of a thrill to see even one number come up.

I contribute to all the local hospital, medical airlift, etc. lotteries. They are all in the $100 dollar ticket range. My only winning ticket was for a small television set. So over time my return is about one cent on the dollar.

The money is going for a useful purpose (or at least I hope so).

Wow! $2.5 million in bogus imaginary nonexistent lottery winnings will buy a lot of bogus imaginary nonexistent beer!

What will Manitas be buying with his share (apart from maybe a bag of carrots)?

I gave mine to Khandu a long time ago. He's never even thanked me or paid me back, so I'm as poor as I always was.

I have added my online winnings for the last month and if I had claimed them all I would now be rich to the tune of £370,000,000 give or take a few thousand. Why oh why did I not claim it all????

What I like about the Lottery Winning Scams is that they DONT go for your bank account details , but DO want you to pay up front for a courier to deliver your cheque ! And then you just wait for the knock on the door ! LOL

Just entered the "Stars Lottery," Alberta Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service. A worthwhile cause that should be fully funded by the province. They are adding two AW139 helicopters to their fleet.

I don't mind them taking my money.

The irony is that the odds of winning millions in a bogus nonexistent lottery aren't much worse than those of winning millions in a legitimate state-run lottery.

It's the difference between "zero" and "so close to zero that the difference is statistically insignificant".

The clear answer is to borrow millions of dollars and buy up ALL the tickets in your lottery of choice. Then you can't help but win. ;-)

Hmmm... A possible solution to the crisis if the governments buy up all the lottery tickts?

A few years ago I was notified by mail that I had won a large amount of money in a Spanish lottery. I haven't yet tried to claim it. When I do I will invest most of it in a maple sugar woods and farm in Florida. What can I say? Some of us are just plain lucky.

Typical of my luck, I can't even win a fraud lotery and I never even bought a ticket.
Ah well I guess it's Spam for lunch again.

As it happens, I am in need of $1,000,000 USD to increase the productivity of my company. This will help you with your dividends, help the economy and help me. In addition, the product is not fattening.
