Thank you, peregrina.

Anyone know what Terry Docherty's doing? - I saw him with Tom in the Great Northern Roadshow a few(!) years back.

Congrats to Tom for the BBC 2 "Best Musician" award last night. Long overdue imho.
His career realy took off after I gave him the opportunity of playing along with me on a couple of songs at Christchurch(UK) Folk Club a few years ago.(Ha Ha!)

At Faversham Folk Club last week, Tom was accompanied by David Newey.
He's worth the money on his own. Brilliant guitar work.
Tom was superb.

Abdul - I second that! Tom and Dave also put on a great performance at Deal Folk Club last Friday night. Tom's fiddle playing style seems so effortless but (as a failed fiddle player meself!) you just know the years of practice that have gone into making it seem so. Dave was also excellent on the acoustic guitar and provided a perfect backing to Tom's fiddle playing. If they're appearing at a club near you, don't miss 'em!!

I don't know, but I was playing my Docherty mandolin last night and thinking what a lovely instrument it is.

Have a good night with Tom, Alex. Lovely club.
