BS: NH Solution to Too Much Snow

Well, I've got to admit, some Maine (but real close to New Hampshire!) residents have a very creative solution to this winter's problem of too much snow --

Snow Castle

I think Curmudgeon and I need to drive over and check this out.

Sorry, I changed this from New Hampshire to Maine (they're just across the southern border) but, while the subject line WITHIN the thread says Maine, the thread title in the list says NH.

And for an encore, next year they're going to wait until spring and build a castle out of slush.

Employ the two constructors, make yourselves an Ice Hotel and you can quit the day job and start making money from home ;-))

Beats the traditional Chicago approach-- dump it in the lake.

Perhaps out parish will start one next year in the back yard of the church. Harvest what the snowblower dumps in there from the sidewalks surronding it. Good youth group activity. Hoot chocolate in the parish hall of course. A collection of snowpeeps dressed from our thrift shop?

Hell, why wait-- more snow due any day now.

Hi, Bente!

I saw the Ice Hotel in a travel magazine a half dozen or so years ago. Interesting concept -- but I don't think it's my idea of a vacation!

Mine neither. But, hey, if you can wring a few bucks out of the tourists.. Nobody says you have to stay there yourselves :-)

Exactly!

(And you don't have to tell New Englanders how to suck money from tourists!)

Nice castle!

We haven't done anything that creative with our share of snow.

Sandra -- let's go. I believe your hair is very long -- you could do Rupunzel from a tower.

I am sick of snow. We have more coming in tomorrow. There is a foot on my roof. Not sure how much of it the roof can hold and I can't get near it with a roof rake - deep snow in the back yard. MOAN...
