I can play notes from low F up..but I can't find any information on how to play anything lower than F. Do I need to get a D whistle, or can I learn to play any note on an F whistle? Thanks, angel879sk8 |

A Generation Soprano (?) F is short enough to get your little finger to half cover the bottom of the tube to give an E below the Low F note , but you would need a VERY long finger to do it on any thing bigger than a C whistle . |

There's no way to get down to D on it. Is the maker's name on it? See if the maker has a web site with fingering charts. Sometimes they do. I believe you would find a D whistle much handier for playing Celtic tunes and for joining sessions. |
