12 Feb 09 - 12:06 AM (#2564608) Subject: Lyr Req: See Rock City From: topical tom In 1967 we went to Expo 67 in Montreal.Purely by chance we learned one day that Pete Seeger and crew members of the Hudson River sloop Clearwater were to give a concert at Place du Canada.One of the songs they sang was "See Rock City".The song was about the tourism slogan "See Rock City" which, in the course of the song, popped up here, there and everywhere and, eventually, on the derrière of a woman with whom the singer was about to have sex.I remember that it had a good melody and lively rhythm and was very funny.If someone could find me the lyrics and, if possible, the tune I would be most grateful. |

I believe the reason the other Clearwater albums have not been reissued on CD is a severe lack of funds. |

They 'usually' have tapes or CDs of everything. I guess the 1st Clearwater album was too far back to warrant a CD... *shrug*... maybe someone will back it. |
