Hughie Jones will be at Shammick Acoustic in Combe Martin, N. Devon on Saturday 28th February.

Many people will remember Hughie from his time with The Spinners, Britain's premiere folksong group for decades, frequently appearing in sellouts at some of the UK's top concert halls, and appearing in and hosting shows on TV and radio. They always provided entertaining, easily accessible and professional shows wherever they were found, and many are thankful that Hughie continues that tradition as a highly popular and entertaining solo artist. A superb singer, guitarist and raconteur, Hughie plays a blend of maritime music, old favourites and chorus songs a-plenty – a great evening's entertainment!

To find out more, and how to get (cheaper) tickets in advance, go to the Shammick Acoustic website

Can't deny it, Blowzabella!

It's a Saturday night, so don't let distance (within reason!) stop you!

Sadly, Barbara, I'm on the Lancashire / Cumbria border .... and have a border collie who *really* doesn't travel well .... otherwise I'd be there!! Hughie's a good and lovely friend and we've had his company at Easter for many years - please send him our love

If you aren't fortunate enough to get to see Hughie in North Devon, he is a resident of the friendly Everyman Folk Club in Liverpool (meets almost every Tuesday, 8.30 prompt, Everyman Bar and Bistro, Hope Street). Hughie is always excellent, as are the other residents and floor singers.
