The only extra bandwidth that's being used is on the sites we link to for the pictures -- and those sites seem to thrive on hits. : ) If the pics were in the same thread it would be virtually impossible to tell which caption was supposed to be for which picture. There are hundreds of threads here - BS and otherwise - that I never open up. I'm sure that's true for a most other Mudcatters too. There's no reason people who don't enjoy the caption threads to bother clicking on them. Can we get back to the captions now, please? : ) Genie |

I, too, do not post to all or even most threads.These caption threads, however, are challenging and fun.If some 'Catters don't like them, or are unable to think up reasonable captions themselves, then they may simply ignore them rather than spoil other people's pleasure.When I see the truly inane b.s. threads that appear to depend upon sensationalism and idiotic subjects for their existence,I find the innocent fun of the caption threads to be far superior. |
