You really do need to put all of these silly photos in ONE THREAD and let people book mark it and go there for each new photo.

What a waste of bandwidth.

And I'm not the only one who thinks so.

FWIW

Read this thread please. "Bobert's Keyboard in Auction."

You'll recognize the problem. I hope.

Once again, Stilly, these BS threads do not use any more bandwidth than any other BS threads do (e.g., joke threads, political discussions, obit threads for non-musical people, etc.).
The only extra bandwidth that's being used is on the sites we link to for the pictures -- and those sites seem to thrive on hits. : )

If the pics were in the same thread it would be virtually impossible to tell which caption was supposed to be for which picture.

There are hundreds of threads here - BS and otherwise - that I never open up. I'm sure that's true for a most other Mudcatters too. There's no reason people who don't enjoy the caption threads to bother clicking on them.

Can we get back to the captions now, please? : )

I agree with Genie 100 per cent. I, too, do not post to all or even most threads. These caption threads, however, are challenging and fun.If some 'Catters don't like them, or are unable to think up reasonable captions themselves, then they may simply ignore them rather than spoil other people's pleasure. When I see the truly inane b.s. threads that appear to depend upon sensationalism and idiotic subjects for their existence,I find the innocent fun of the caption threads to be far superior.

1. It would not work all in one thread.
2. It does not waste bandwidth.
3. It brings a lot of enjoyment to the people who play the game.
4. Anyone can ignore them if they are not interested.

5. Um, the dog ate my driver's license

I don't have a caption for this one but wanted to say I, too, agree with Genie.
If you don't like the caption threads and don't want to contribute feel free to ignore them! They're not hurting anyone and those of us who enjoy them are happy just the way they are.
