Pierre Le Chapeau is Confused.

Hi folks.
I enjoy attending The sing around song sessions.
Last year I throughly enjoyed Crayford and Upnor.
Otford was ok but disappointing due to the fact there was no sing around.
I want to attend has many has I can when work permits me to do so.
MY
Confusion amounts to there is a Upnor Pub stand on the 25th of April and there is a Crayford session at The Crayford Arms on the 25th April. I want to go where the singaround sessions are and where the majority of folk musicians will be. I want to play not sit about at a fate or pub open day with football blaring out.
So where do I go Upnor or Crayford.

I know this is a lot of me,s and I but at the end of the day I dont want to travel great distances often hitching or paying Cab fare for lifts to get to the more remote singarounds to get there to find there is no singarounds and look a complete silly arse because I am the only one who has tuned two with both Guitar and Mandolin.

Its quite straight forward I do not want to be Disappointed, once I get there and feel out of pocket to boot. Its a waste of my time and money. Both of which I value.

Thats all there is to it folks and if I have created Date confusion I am sorry but I am some what confused has to what venue to attend taking into account what I have wrote above.

I know about The Rochester sweeps because Growler has advertised it to a point whereby I know exactly what and when to attend.
Roll on Knockholt has least I know where I am there to.
Kind regards to all Pierre.

One of teh helpful things in life for Pierre Le Chapeau is that the french for confusion is - - -confusion! No confusion there then!

The venue confusion arose because I was given a booklet at folkmob last Wed during The Brian Carty Gig Entitled. Bishop Gundulfs Morris events for 2009.

In that booklet marked down for 25th April at The kings Arms Upnor is the Bishop Gundolfs
Pub stand. What ever that is ?
And I thought all you sing around folk lot would be attending that .
So I wondered if you attend Upnor how can you attend Crayford.?
and I want to be where the singers and players are.

I now know that you will be all at Crayford,
But if I had not caused this confusion I would have ended up In Upnor and missed Crayford.

Now do you all see where my confusion stems from?
another thing in my favour is that I am still a Newbie to such gatherings.

Sorry about all the confusion I caused.
See you at Crayford.
Bloody Parlarva.

I will be at neither on the 25th.

Maybe a Stratford U Avon. If not as it is the weekend between Stoke and Rochester Sweeps.

Chris has to do marking sometime. So sorry to Romany Man and to Kev and Dilligaf.

Now let's see if I've got this right:

Pierre is going to buy breakfast for the manager of Andy's Cafe. He'll then go the event at Crayford after which he'll camp in the woods near Upnor.

Growler will, for nostalgic reasons, stay at Andy's Cafe, where he'll put his foot down the khazi in revenge for having his equipment (no, not that equipment!) nicked 40-odd years ago.

Virginia Tam will bring Chris to the King's Arms at Upnor where he can use Bishop Gundulf's pub stand as a flat surface on which to do his marking.

Richard won't be singing at the next do at The Nag's Head: firstly, because Pierre has asked the landlord put the footy on the telly, and secondly, because the pub has already shut down.

Er.... that's right, ain' it?

(Sorry: I'm afraid the opening of this thread coincided with one of my heavy duty uncontrollable bouts of silliness!)

I thought those were defined by your singing through your nose, slightly sharp, in bad french...

And playing a squeezebox with the reeds on the same buttons about a semitone away from each other

I meant for Melodeonboy to explain why he only wears wild shirts if his uncontrollable bouts of silliness are apparently rare.

He did say "One." It is clear he believes he is NOT locked in an interminble bout of silliness. His shirt selection surely indicates infinite silliness.

Perhaps he is a refugee from the silly shirt planet, found in north, north east quadrant of the clown attire nebula, in a dimension only to be accessed via back of Melodeonboy's wardrobe.

Q. How do you confuse a Chapeau?

A. Show him 3 plectrums and say "Take your pick!"

You're not far wrong, Tam. The secret door, which can only be opened by the secret password sung in an extremely silly voice, is, in fact, at the back of my wardrobe, hidden from public view by racks of bright shirts. This door leads you into the Land of Silly, the spiritual home of the Shirt Murderer.

It's a little known fact that the idea for "Alice Through the Looking Glass" was stolen from the book "Shirt Murderer Through the Wardrobe", which was, alas, banned from being published due to the establishment's fear of it inciting social unrest.

I think it is a cunning plan to make us all musicians in the mould of Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles (or the admirable Clive Lever) by excessive stimulaion of th eoptic nerve, which as all good Victorians know, sends you blind...

BTW, when PlC calls his Clarissa (presumably named after Dick Walker's former UK record-breaking carp) an Ovation, he is exaggerating...

new guitar. Having had time to think deeply about the issue of my Ovation. I believe that the trouble stems from the Bridge end lifting .Rather Then the crack up at the upper head stock ?.
Seemingly if I have added a answer to the above thread That dont make sense. Thats Normal.

I quote. Its a Ovation Copy.

Having read up further on the above subject I am please to announce that the
Clarissa Guitar is a semi Ovation which is half the size of a full Ovation. Which regardless of the size of the rounded backs still makes it a ....... Ovation.
You trying to confuse me Mr Bridge?
