Dear Everyone,

LEWES SATURDAY FOLK CLUB IS AT THE BLACK HORSE, 55 WESTERN ROAD, LEWES BN7 1RS UK ON SATURDAY 4TH. APRIL

Because of a double booking at the Crown Inn, the Lewes Saturday Folk Club will be in the back bar of the Black Horse 55, Western Road, this coming Saturday. Our guest is Stuart Walker and admission is £4. There is car parking in the grounds of County Hall almost directly opposite the pub. If you come into Lewes via the Prison Crossroads you pass the pub on your left - it's about half way between the prison and the bottleneck.

If you meet anyone who's planning to go, could you make sure they know?

Best wishes and looking forward to seeing you there,

Valmai

Ah, well, it appeals to the gypsy in my soul. The pub is already friendly to music as there's an American Old Time session there on the second Wednesday of the month - see Bryan's Sussex free sessions page .

Vectis, should we apply to become a franchise of Travelling Folk?

Last night went very well - a good turnout and a friendly atmosphere. Stuart was in good form, well supported by Haley. The pub staff were extremely helpful. The beer was good; I had a bitter called Bath Gem, which sounds like something you crumble under a running hot tap, but it was definitely all right. There was also a charming ginger tom of about seven months old.

The back bar of the Black Horse is definitely worth considering if you're looking for somewhere to hold a sing or tunes session.
