You should certainly give the Royal Oak a look in. I've posted responses to similar questions in other threads recently. Maybe it would be an idea to have a "what's on in Scotland" or "sessions and singarounds in the Central Belt" permathread? I'm not entirely sure how permathreads work. |

From: Mrs Banjiman Don't forget the very excellent session/singaround at Uisge Beatha, Woodlands Road, Glasgow from 6pm until midnight. Get there early to be sure to get a seat! I'd endorse the two Edinburgh sessions mentioned previously too. Have a great time, Wendy |

15 Sep 23 - 12:43 PM (#4187518) Subject: RE: What's on Glasgow to Edinburgh? From: Tattie Bogle As with many things these days, the place for finding sessions is on Facebook - sorry if you don't do Facebook. There is a group/page called Edinburgh Trad Music and Session Hub: you can post a request for info on there, or go to the "Featured" tab, which has a spreadsheet of known regular sessions on it. And for Glasgow there's a similar page called The Glasgow Jam Sessions. And, of course, there are many other places in between that hold regular sessions! |
