We are coming down south again for the Sweeps festival at the beginning of May and would like to meet up with as many of our Kentish friends (and friends of Kent!) as possible - so who's going?

Should anyone be remotely interested we have these four sets

Sunday 3rd from 12:30 to 14:30 The Two Brewers in the High Street
Sunday 3rd from 23:30 til late Gordon House Hotel in the High Street
Monday 4th from 12:30 to 14:30 Ye Arrow Boley Hill next to the castle

Well, higgety, hoggety, haggety high! (I wish I'd written that!)

Written by Burt Bacharach (I kid you not!) and Bob Hilliard. The version that you and I both know and love, Pete, is by The New Christy Minstrels.

C'mon, all you Cherokees, sing along with me!

Whoops! Thread drift!

Hi All, For those that I haven't told, my youngest son was killed last Friday. I wont be taking part in Sweeps, but, hopefully will be down for a few pints and a chat.
I insist there are no misserable faces, ( apart from Richard, but no-one can do anything about that ) Please enjoy the weekend for me

Horrible news Simon. I'm thinking and feeling for you and yours. I will try and cover for you if you want me to and totally understand why you can't be there. I just don't know what to say except lean on me if you need to.

Simon

Nearly 5 years ago I was where you are now. There is nothing I can say that will help you in any way. But if you need or want someone to just listen to you talk about you son or anything, please pm me and we can exchange phone numbers.
