The members of the group,Joe, Mat, Kev and David, met when they were all members of Kathryn Tickell's Folkestra at the Sage, Gateshead. They then went on to win the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award in 2007 and have since played at the country's major folk festivals including Cambridge and Fairport Convention's Cropredy festival. "They have a maturity of style that belies their youth - a sound that is greater than the sum of its parts and best of all a joy in sharing their music with others."
