One probably shouldn't blow one's own trumpet, but someone has to! So as others have said:

'The audience was treated to a wonderful evening of folk songs. They constantly vary their delivery, sometimes singing together, sometimes alone, sometimes engaging members of the audience, but always entertaining. Their skilful presentation keeps the audience enthralled. A truly magical evening!'
Carol Rawle, Porlock Arts Festival

'Loads of lovely chorus songs and chat from these much-admired and powerful traditional and contemporary singers. They gave us a brilliant night.'
Hyde Folk Club, Plymouth.

'I always really look forward to seeing and hearing Tom and Barbara, for their special brand of west-country warmth ensures a wholly personable welcome every time and their years of experience (and intense enjoyment) of singing brings an immediacy and freshness to every performance they give.'
David Kidman, NetRhythms

'Quite apart from the unusual material, excellent musicianship and fine singing, you go away from a Tom and Barbara gig thinking, "Yes, it was nice just being with them tonight – a pleasure to be in their company." '
Clive Pownceby, Bothy FC, Southport

Hope to see some of you at one or other of them.

Barbara

Mary has just rung to tell me that the club will meet in the Seaford Constitutional Club, Crouch Lane, tomorrow night instead. I've no doubt she'll post further details, but she says it has ample parking nearby and is very near the Beachcomber, which will have a noisy disco that night.

To all guitar students

Tom's technique is worth the admission price alone

Just make sure there be nothing to obstruct your view.

Had a great night at Seaford - the replacement venue was excellent.

I'm tempted to ask how much missing us is worth, Leadfingers! :-) Sorry we shan't see you.

Everyone in Sussex can come to Tom and Barbara's performance at the Lewes Saturday Folk Club on Saturday 21st. November, when they are also leading one of our very popular all-day ballad forums.

Well, almost everyone. Our new room in the Elephant (ho, ho) is quite a bit bigger than our old one in the Lewes Arms and has much better acoustics.
