My husband and I are having a wonderful time making beautiful music together. We're formed a duo and are launching ourselves to the world at large:

I thought you said "beautiful" music. What's that thing you're struggling with there? (joking...joking)

Too bad the gentleman doesn't play banjo too. If he had posed with one, the picture of the two of you with your instruments could have been something to strike stark terror into the hearts of music lovers anywhere.

But then, if he's a gentleman, he can't very well play banjo...

Peter.

Allison, it will never work: music ruins lives, and the happy faces beaming out at me from the website make it clear that you too are just not miserable enough curs to make it. ;~)

Or at least I thought so until I read this (with over-tired eyes):

Hunt is a life-long folk and blues musician playing fiddle, guitar, banjo and mandolin. For the past fifteen years Hunt has been teaching and playing at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina. He is also well-known as a disgruntled maritime artist.

So, no worries! :~)

Say, these two are such a perfect fit musically, I think they oughtta get married! :~)

Do you have any samples of your music online?

Best wishes for a successful and enjoyable career.

Thanks for the kind and funny words! I'm giggling!

Leenia, click here for a brief sample of some of our music. More to come, eventually.

Susan, every single day, one of us says- "This is fun. Do you think we should get married? ?"

Allison. Looks like great fun. For years, my husband and I have wanted to attend the Campbell School.

Keep us posted on recording plans. Put me down for a CD if you ever record one. And I'm so glad you married into the Smith family.

Maeve, do it! It's a great place!

Wesley, my beloved Byron was a Smith. Two of Byron's best friends are Smiths. When I told them I was marrying a Smith, the wife, Laurie, patted my arm and said, "It's a good family!"

Hmmm. Singin' with a guy now? If you ever need a bass-baritone for support...

Have now had a chance to sit down and really listen to the demo CD Allison and Hunt gave me the other day. WOW!! I am in love with their music. They do a fantastic job together, each complimenting the other in a perfect blend. Outstanding job done on six wonderful songs:

Mr. Fezziwigg's Ball/Dancing Bear
Coleraine/Fair Jenny's Jig
Sandy Boys/Growling and Grumbling
Maple Sweet
Dark Moon (I esp. love this one!)
Rolling Home

Congratulations, you two. You have done a fine job! Thanks a bunch!

Wow, thanks everyone!(thanks, Kat-me-luv!) Today we are playing for the California Maritime Academy graduation in the San Francisco Bay area. Most of our audience won't have a clue what we're about!

When we get home we'll be wildly sending out our cds (they arrived the day before our trip departure!) and trying to get gigs.

Ref, you could certainly come hear us at the Nelson Library kid's program in July! And we'll see you at Old Songs (in our new pop-up- you were the original inspiration for that, did you know?)!
