THE WHITE COLLAR HOLLER
1. Well, I rise up every mornin' at a quarter to eight.
CHORUS: And it's ho, boys! Can't you code it? (Wuh!)
2. And it's code in the data, give the keyboard a punch,
3. Yea, then it's home again, eat again, watch some TV,
4. Someday I'm going to give up all the buttons and things. |

It was done by a group from the Norfolk VA area called Dramtreo. We are trying to find the lyrics and music for this song. ANyone else have any info on this one. SOund like it is pretty old by computer standards as it refers to the Xerox line and punch cards. Thanks, Dave Hendricks bvdrangs@enter.net |

14 Mar 98 - 11:45 PM (#23812) Subject: RE: White Collar Holler From: Alex What we need is for Nigel to issue a "WHITE COLLAR HOLLER - Release 2.0" of the song for current technology including Y2K, disparaging remarks about Microsoft, etc. This to be followed by release 2.1 which fixes the metre problems encountered in Release 2.0. |
14 Aug 98 - 02:55 PM (#34858) Subject: White collor hollar From: Henry Miler, hank@black-hole.com It is in the database at: WHITE COLLAR HOLLER but that is corrupt. The middle of the song is missing. 14 Aug 98 - 03:17 PM (#34859) Subject: Lyr Add: WHITE COLLAR HOLLER (Nigel Russell) From: Joe Offer Click here for a good collection of lyrics to songs recorded by Stan Rogers. There's just one line missing from the online version of the database, and the PC version is intact. Say, Max, did you notice that little problem? Here are the complete lyrics: WHITE COLLAR HOLLER (Nigel Russell) Well, I rise up every morning at a quarter to eight Some woman who's my wife tells me not to be late I kiss the kids goodbye, I can't remember their names And week after week, it's always the same And it's Ho, boys, can't you code it, and program it right Nothing ever happens in the life of mine I'm hauling up the data on the Xerox line Then it's code in the data, give the keyboard a punch Then cross-correlate and break for some lunch Correlate, tabulate, process and screen Program, printout, regress to the mean Then it's home again, eat again, watch some TV Make love to my woman at ten-fifty-three I dream the same dream when I'm sleeping at night I'm soaring over hills like an eagle in flight Someday I'm gonna give up all the buttons and things I'll punch that time clock till it can't ring Burn up my necktie and set myself free Cause no one's gonna fold, bend or mutilate me. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright Nigel Russell and dedicated to the city of Bramalea, Ontario, Canada.
