No offence (note the spelling Joe)taken as I know it was not intended, but thanks anyway to Catspaw for seeing the other side to it.

It was just that this 4th July had world signifigance not just a national one.

Well, I really DID mean no offense, Shambs, but only about starting another thread for the Thought for the Day, not for the Revolution!

Rick, watch out! How did you KNOW I happen to have just the thing?!!LOL!

'Spaw....well, I just thought I was getting a jump on some of our more conservative members...I mean, one of us has to rear the ugly American thing once in awhile, eh, even though I think "Gil" did a good job, already this week!

Shambs,it is a global thing and in fact, I am not considered a very patriotic person. I feel more like a global citizen, anyway, but it did seem kinda funny for one of us not to start a thread for it.

Now, 'Spaw, about that darn litter! And, no, ya don't hafta have the smiley face, just remember the **BG**! Heeheeheehee!

Love ya,

kat

Gawd, Kat, you could have at least QUOTED an American on the 4th. Something like "A woman is only a woman, but a good cigar is a smoke" or "Children are like elephants--I like looking at them, but I wouldn't want to own one....)

Ah, BeSeed! You mean I could have at least QUOTED an American WOMAN???!!! Since women didn't really experience the benefits of revolution until the early 1900's when we finally got the right to vote, how about...

"Woman must not accept; she must challenge. She must be awed by that which has been built up around her; she must reverence that woman in her which struggles for expression." - Margaret Sanger -
