11 Apr 09 - 03:20 PM (#2609328) Subject: RE: BS: Easter ovums From: MudGuard With a shotgun! ;-) no, seriously: with a dremel (you know, one of these hand-held drilling machines) and a 0.5mm, 1mm, 2mm, 2.3mm, 3mm, 4mm, ... drills - at high speed and low pressure. I first drill a hole at both ends of the egg, then remove the eatable stuff by blowing into one end. Then I wash them out, dry them, then do the drilling. For removing the thin skin I put the eggs into a cleaner containing chloride but no acid - that removes the skin but leaves the calcium carbonite untouched. Then I dry the eggs again. |
