Like to see him sans trousers and shirt -- bet he's got some pretty well-defined muscles (not to mention an incredibly fine-tuned sense of balance!)

Makes more sense (to me, at least) than bicycle racing. Talk about control!

(So how many bones did he break while developing these skills?!?)

Amazing!

Where're his elbow pads? Ouch! I'll bet he's never let any barriers into his life, though, amazing skill!

'Buffoon' ??!!
How much of it did you watch? Anybody that can ride like that, ride like people DREAM about riding, and make it look so easy is a master.

Jeri, maybe he was referring to the mental image brought up in discussing Spaw's balls bouncing up and down where his elbows would be? (Well, that's where MY mind went with it!)

It's incredibly difficult and extremely dangerous, true enough. But does the fact that something is incredibly difficult and extremely dangerous make it worth doing?

Oh. That's not a word I would have associated with Spaw's gonad-adorned elbows.

The thing is, a person can know exactly what he's capable of and be reasonably sure he can perform the task. Those of us who do NOT know what he can do will think it's incredibly dangerous. The learning probably does take a lot of work and time, and there undoubtedly are risks, but, as with trapeze artists and rock climbing, I don't believe it's as dangerous as it looks.

You'll notice that the seat of the bike is set as far down as it will go...

Clearly when he gets near the steps with his bike he doesn't assume he's going to take a header and kill himself or break something. There is something to be said for that that "normal" bike riders could learn from.

I'm glad to see he wears a helmet. I assume his balls are of cast iron.
