We need more funny people right now, not fewer.

His greatest tallent may have been as a chef.

"We've just learned that Dom DeLuise -- who starred in such classics as 'The Cannonball Run' and 'Blazing Saddles' and was the voice of Pizza the Hutt in "Spaceballs" -- died last night in a Los Angeles hospital. We're told he passed away peacefully in his sleep at around 6 PM. He was 75. Story developing..."

My fiancee's aunt went to high school with him. He signed her yearbook, "As you climb the ladder of success, don't look down, just hold your dress."

Created a few classic characters with Mel Brooks and Burt Reynolds.....funny man with what always seemed a joy for what he did from acting to eating and cooking to his family.

He had a wonderful off-beat sense of humor and was unafraid to play the fool. Occasionally he would come through with a truly touching scene and his other antics always made those all the more special.

I'll miss him......

I remember seeing outtakes from some movie he did with Burt Reynolds. If they had released them instead of the movie, they'd have probably made twice as much money. The man had more genius screwing it up than most people have getting it right.

Spaw is absolutely right, I will miss him for sure. So many great characters on the TV and in the movies. I always enjoyed anything he was in ... a very sad loss indeed

He certainly kept working steadily!

I remember really enjoying him in The Muppet Movie in the swamp with Kermit. :)

I like what they have posted on his website:

"It's easy to mourn his death, but easier to remember a time when he made you laugh."

I didn't always get his humour in the 60s on tv...I think I was a little young, but I do remember liking him and enjoyed his work late ron when I was more mature. Sad to think there is another one gone.

RIP,

kat
