06 May 09 - 10:53 PM (#2625968) Subject: BS: Oz Catters input on NG Murray-Darling From: Janie Hi Guys and Gals, I just finished reading a feature in the April, 2009 USA addition of National Geographic Magazine about the serious water crisis, apparently not entirely attributable to drought, in the Murray-Darling Basin. I certainly know from many of your posts to the fire threads, as well as other threads, that the drought situation there continues to be very serious, but this article leads me to think that you are facing possibly catastrophic water shortages with major economic and food implications for your country.
