Tell ya what, Oldster... Get yer old butt in yer old Ford Taurus and drive to Pine Grove holler and set up yer stuff in my old (1953) Spartan trailer/music studio and record/tape/shoot/video all you want.... Then I'll give it all to you and you can stick my face on the cover of the "Rolling Stone" and make big bucks and....

...listein, Dan...

Ol' Bobert ain't all that pudder savy... Cut and post is way beyond my capabilities... So Face Book??? That's like asking me to do yer brain surgery...

Now, Amos???

Different story... Heck... Fir a guy who started the Church of Scientology before his 4th birthday I think yer dealin' with a bonified 'n certified cut 'n poster...

So, oldster...

Come on down and get all the blues you can handle without thorozine...

Amos does 'puters like West Virginians do coal. FaceBook should be a piece o' cake for him.

But Bobert'd hafta do some music on camera for Amos to put it on those internets,

I, however, just happen to have some video of Bobert's Blues Band from last fall's Getaway.

If Bobert and Amos and the floozy dancers (me, Tinker, Jacquie, Dani and her daughters, Janie, Linda, etc.) will let me, I can make those videos available online.

LEJ:

You are most definitely not cottage cheese. Not even chopped liver! Probably pressed ham is more like it.

Well, I have been toyin' with doing a little recordin' this year... I've got a bunch of new stuff that I worked up over the winter and it has been 4 years since I recorded "13 Shades of Blues"...

Problem is that I am also in the midst of building a new band... I've got a new harmonica player and that's about it so far... Not too sure what/who else to get but I'm kinda runnin' outta time...

Ya' see, last year I participated in the Sadalia Blues Festival challenge... The winner gets a sponsorship to the IBC (Intenational Blues Challenge) in Memphis in February... Well, I came in 2nd last year to a bluesplayer from North Carolina who had come in 2nd for the prior 5 years and, well, lotta people came up afterwards and said that we shoulda won... Guess the organizers thought so, too, 'cause I got an invite to compete this July 11th without havin' to go thru the application process...

So I gotta get the rest of the band shaped up by then and they define "band" as three or more members...

Not too sure what to add... My cigar box Lowebow is also a bass instrument so bass is not high on the list unless that bass player can play conga drum when I'm on the Lowebow... Drummer isn't isn't high on the list either seein' as I do play drums with my feet while playing geetar and singing... Maybe a mandolin player???

I donno, but I want ya'll to know that I am on the case...

I think someone posted a piece of the 2009 blues session, but my singing there left a great deal to be desired, such as pitch. Now LEJ and Bobert were in top form.

Vicarious attendence?? Is that when the Vicar shows up and you can't do them real dirty blues?

I've heard it said, though I do not agree, that Bobert had a tin ear, but I never heard he had a tin whistle.

Here's a bunch of songs from The Mudcat Songbook; those that have links in them have sound files. You might enjoy the Walla Walla Woman Blues.

If there is a way to do anything with a tin whistle, Leadfingers knows how.
