I've gone through the other threads about this song but couldnt find one. Im not a great guitarist so I'd like standard tuning if possible, I love the nic jones version and its made me want to learn it and play it myself. Couldnt get it from any of the standard tab/chord sites either. Thanks in advance for any help, been looking for somewhere for advice on learning more folk songs and this seems to be the perfect place :) |

One thing you should know is that it is fine for you to have started a music thread as a guest, but we do require that you choose a Guest nickname and use the same one consistently. Plain old "Guest" postings risk being deleted. You might also want to consider joining: it is free, easy to do, no email of any kind will be sent to you, there's no spam, and it would allow you to post Personal Messages aka "PMs" to other members, plus give you access to member info such as birthdays, locations, and pictures. I've used CGCGCD and it's close (at least as close as a duffer like me can make it!). Trying to imitate Nic's style is going to be difficult (see remarks in related threads). Get the gist of it and make your own version, and enjoy singing/playing the song - that's what's important in folk music, isn't it?
