But... nothing there would work until he renamed the fix and ran it... he's a puter guy. He was here for over three hours. I have a headache. |

30 May 09 - 06:37 PM (#2644469) Subject: RE: BS: I had a virus today WinPC Antivirus From: Little Hawk If you rename the program that must be run to remove the virus (Malwarebytes in this case), then the virus doesn't recognize it and it doesn't block it...accordingly the virus gets cleaned off your system. I know this by hearsay, though, haven't done it myself. I presume you rename the executable file that runs the antivirus program. |

Malwarebytes is one of them. Spybot Search and Destroy is another. ESET NOD32 Antivirus is another. If you are in doubt as to whether a program is trustworthy, call up your local computer store and ask them. They will know. |
