        Rob is widely considered the leading concertina player of his generation. He is known for his work with The English Acoustic Collective, Emma Reid, Tim van Eyken, and Nancy Kerr and James Fagan. He has been a popular tutor for Folkworks, Hands-On Music, the International Concertina Association and a great many more.
        
The workshop will look at a number of techniques involved in developing a personal style of playing – phrasing, pulse, dynamics, ornamentation, fingering and use of the bellows. We will also look at some approaches to chords and harmony. Rob's technical knowledge is mostly centered on the English system, but the workshops are open to players of all systems as many aspects of the workshop apply to other types of concertina.
