Festival season is here again, If you want to be recognised and have total strangers talking to you and helping Mudcat at the same time you should wear a Mudcat Tee Shirt. They come in blue or red and I have most sizes ( small to XX Large ). They are sent to me from the USA by Dick Greenhaus and retail at £15 including postage, all profits going to Mudcat. Just PM me, Get one 'Because You're worth it'
Cheers Bill

I'm usually XXXL, not XXL - but maybe American XXL would do... what are the actual sizes and are there sweatshirts or fleeces too?

Thanks to a spammer, a Streets of Laredo thread has surfaced just next to this one at the moment.

As I walked by the seaside one August at Whitby
The shanties roared out from each bar loud and strong
And I spied a folk singer in a red banjo T-shirt
Who sang not a word as they carried him along...

"What do they look like?"
Folk singers? They are usually bearded and carry a bit too much weight round the midrif. That goes for the men too.

Y'know...the Mudcat T-shirt was introduced so that Mudcatters at festivals could identify themselves to others whom they'd never met. Still a good reason. Another one, of course, is that the T-shirst are one of the ways that Mudcat supports itself.

Lechlade (since someone mentioned it) surf from here - the same organisers have a regular 1/3rd Fri Folk night. Good crowd and the pub id fantastic. Landlord is a really nice guy. He was before he cheated death.

Just to stay on topic, my red T-Shirts (Thanks Bill) now have "Mr Red" embroidered in red - what else? Just to stay that one bit different.

"Mr Red" embroidered in red on a red background! Might as well wear one of Les Barker's camouflage nets!

How about personalised Mudcat T-shirts that feature one's Mudcat handle as well as the logo? Great for Mudgatherers, festivals & visiting those far-afield folk clubs I would imagine...

Suibhne O'Piobaireachd -

Not really feasible--we have to order them in bulk, and personalized printing would be prohibitive. Badger was producing some very nice personalized Mudcat pin-on buttons, though.

easier to do a 4 syllable name than the long one
that starts with Su..can we just call you Su for short?

and don't forget U.S. catters..
with festival season upon us,
these are a great way to let
people know about mudcat, or
to find those who are already
in the know.

a while back there was a batch
of these printed up in different
colors and styles...these were
special ordered, and might be
possible to do this again.

Folkie Dave and Squeezeboxhp I will keep you a couple for Whitby.
Mr Red and Willa must have got their's at least 6 to 8 years ago which goes to prove that these shirts are quality and are going to last.
If you want a pin badge about 2 inches across with the mudcat logo and your mudcat name PM Badger or Tig they make them to order at a very reasonable price.
Still a few shirts left !!!!!!

These shirts really do last if you wash them properly and carefully as Mrs viking does. I've had mine years as Bill tells you above. They are a great inVESTment. (Hi Bill, off to whitby?) I've got shore leave and am going to Fylde this year.

Hi Bill. They hardly have mudcatters up here, but it's daylight 24/7 at the moment. You can walk, fish and play golf in the midnight sun.The festival was a present from Dawn for me birthday and it's at the end of the summer.

You get used to it, strange at first, but then the opposite is worst. Dark until about 09.00 then almost grey unless skies are clear until about 15.00hrs, then dark again. Sometimes it doesn't really get light at all.(That's winter !) Your body clock tells you when to sleep, it changes from summer to winter. Wearing a mudcat Tee shirt up here would be a solitary hobby. wearing one at Whitby or Fylde or Cleckheaton, or Cambridge or Sidmouth.NOW FOLKS, that's why you buy 'em. Get them from Bill folks........While ye can.

That didn't make sense did it? I meant to say............Wearing a mudcat Tee at folk festivals is a sure way to meet other mudcat members. It can lead on to all sorts of friendships, sessions and musical travellings.

US mudcat tees

We have some left, but not all sizes. We are starting to think about a new batch when we sell more of what we have, but very few have sold lately.

At this point we have:
   9 navy small
   no mediums
   12 navy large
   1 red XL
   no XXL
2 navy XXXL and 3 red

not sure about using the same printer, with color choice, since the ink is cracking on at least one of mine from that batch.

I've still got a few left, The last 10 shirts went to big hairy arsed mucat men, I would like the ladies to know that they can wear them as well.
I have 2 small in blue 34" to 36"
3 medium in blue 1 medium in red 38" to 40"
1 large in red 42" to 44"
6 extra large in blue and 3 in red 46" to 48"
1 extra extra large in red 50" to 52"
2 extra extra extra large in red 54" to 56"
There are still 6 sew on patches left, these are ideal for sewing on caps, instrument gig bags, or anywhere else you might like to have one. They are 2 inches round and embroidered in full colour with the mudcat fish in the banjo logo.
