Mr. Talbot was the last living member of one of the most notable Calypso groups--The Talbot Brothers. They were world famous and made some appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show; among others. Besides recording on local Bermuda labels they also had some recordings on a majorlabel, ABC Paramount. The height of their fame was in the 1950s and 1960s. Changes in what tourists expected in entertainment changed the whole face of local performances in Bermuda---among other places. Their music was lyrical, topical (which what Calypso is so good at), and singable. There is a new book with 2 CDs included out about The Talbot Brothers.
