According to Wikipedia: "Former bass player Ed Jones, who returned to journalism after leaving the band, wrote a book, This is Pop: The Life and Times of a Failed Rock Star, detailing his time in the band and the personality clashes which he felt caused their career to fail. "John Kettle works as a producer in his own studio called Jaraf House Studios and, along with producing songs for notable local talent ranging from Witness to Moco, he has been working on new recordings with his brothers under the name The Dregs." Doesn't say what happened to Janet Anderton or the other Kettle brothers. Here's an interview with John Kettle for the wonderfully named Wigan Today from 2007. |

The originals were made by Tansad Metal Fabricators, Birmingham. I think the originals were built from recycled Panzers and usually carried four kids, 2 sitting and 2 standing on the heavyweight mudguards over both wheels. The folding handle had a fearsome reputation for removing small kids fingers! |

From: GUEST,Mike Sorry, Didn't wear any wooly hats (?) but the good news is the band will reform next year for a couple of dates initially. What happens after that who knows? Despite all the bad blood in the past its good to know they've made up and all three Kettle brothers, both Robbie and Ed and most importantly Janet have all agreed to do it. I believe that Phill Knight will be on drums and Lee on keyboards. |
