I am interested in Southern mountain songs if possible. Also if the book would have a recording with it, it would be great. Any Ideas Fred |

I think there's a tape available for it; I know there's a two-video set in which he plays all the songs in the book, with transitions between the songs which make it easy to cue back to the beginning of the song you're working on. I can't remember what I paid for it, but it's well worth it. --seed |

Contact me at rjclayton@aol.com if interested. It's cheap enough -- $6. ppd -- and has about 25 songs in it, most of 'em in fraililng style (the ones written for "up-picking" -- Pete Seeger style -- can be played in frailing style, too). 11 Jul 99 - 12:57 AM (#94062) Subject: RE: Looking for frailing tablature From: Rockaday Johnny I can vouch for the Clayton book - It's GREAT for both rank beginners and intermediates (I've had 2 different versions of it over the year and they were both great -different songs) If they are both still available I'd say get 'em both - they're an INCREDIBLE value. (I'd love to hear some of Bob's playing sometime....) |

It's not one of the more simple tunes, however its worth the effort once you get it worked out.
