It was a father playing the Uilleann pipes, his wife playing the concertina, and their daughter playing the fiddle. Does anyone know if this family have a CD out. |

Tom snr. was a wonderful musician, pipes, concertina, whistle, fiddle. He was a long time friend in London and a tragically short-time neighbour when we moved to Miltown Malbay ten years ago - he died a year after we moved here. As Peter has said, his three daughters and one son all took up the music and became great musicians. Now the grandchildren of all four families are taking up the music and are showing signs of becoming good musicians themselves. Jim Carroll |

He was also a wonderful communicator & general, all round good person. He made himself known to me once in the late 80's in a regular session he used to play in at Holloway Rd, London (I forget the name of the pub) and this friendliness and accessibility to the music he was playing made a deep impression me (I once told this to his daughter, Bernadette, and I'm glad I did!) |
