I have heard, don't know where or from who, a verse for Union Maid that I only remember a little bit of: You *folks* who want to be free, take a tip from me... ...Organize! (I don't remember if "organize" is the emphasized word in the middle of the verse, or the last word of the verse.) I have run into a significant number of *other* alternate verses, so I'll just say I'm not looking for "We modern union maids..." or the Mother Jones verse, I'm looking for one that is not gendered. Thanks! |
