Decided not to add to that chaos. Checked for old threads. Saw nothing appropriate. I am operating under the broad definition of political. I see, on a '01 thread, that some people hate them. Some like them. I looked at my new silver coloured car, three years ago, and said, "Wow, a tabla rasa!" It has been referred to as a "moving political statement". When parked, people often take time to walk all around it, reading. None are on the bumper. A CLOSED MIND IS A WONDERFUL THING TO LOSE. (my fav) QUAKERS FOR OBAMA WELL BEHAVED WOMEN RARELY MAKE HISTORY (on the driver door, lest anyone mistake.) (And it has already been pointed out that it is sexist but both men and women love it. Someone actually asked to photograph it recently.) UNITED FOR A NON-TOXIC MILLENIUM CHOOSE LOVE IT WILL BE A GREAT DAY WHEN OUR SCHOOLS GET ALL THE MONEY THEY NEED AND THE AIR FORCE HAS TO HOLD A BAKE SALE TO BUY A BOMBER (Old but still valid) THERE IS NO WAY TO PEACE, PEACE IS THE WAY GIVE PEACE A CHANCE YOU CAN'T HUG A CHILD WITH NUCLEAR ARMS WE NEED A DEPARTMENT OF PEACE Today I will commit one act of senseless kindness, will you? There is room for more but that would be too cluttered for most people to read! My far right brother lets me park in his driveway! I got in and out of Canada in April. Whew! I doubt anyone would try to steal the car! I consider it an excellent venue for getting a few people to THINK just a little bit. My favourite feedback was a robust woman who stated enthusiastically, "WE LIKE YOUR BUMPER STICKERS!! AND WE'RE NAVY, AND WE LIKE THEM!!!" Gosh, I hope they let me into Apple Hollow Music Fest!! PLEASE! |

I will continue to use my car as long as I feel the need to do so, as little as possible to continue to live the life I am choosing to lead. I greatly respect your stand on this but am not ready to take it myself at this time and place. |

13 Jun 09 - 09:00 AM (#2655531) Subject: RE: BS: Political Bumper Stickers From: frogprince Jack, have you considered getting real? For lots and lots of people, not having a car would mean starving to death, being on permanent welfare, or inheriting enough to live on for life. Nowhere near everyone has a realistic alternative way to get to essential employment. Surely you have to know that much. |
