12 Apr 97 - 05:10 PM (#4525) Subject: need music/lyrics From: ludy@shelby.net I am looking for public domain copies of the music to an English song, that goes something like this: "Past three o'clock, on a cold, frosty morning, "Past three o'clock, good morrow master's all." It was also done by one group as a type of Christmas Carol. Incidentally, I needed also some information on a song called "Eleanor," which was the themesong of the LUM AND ABNER radio program for a while. Where is the music available? Is it public domain? I would like to have the music, if available, and if in public domain. If not, could I find the song "Evalena" composed and performed by Sybil Chisolm Bock. It replaced "Eleanor" as the Lum and Abner themesong in 1941 and was the themesong of five of the six Lum and Abner movies produced by RKO. I would like to know if it is public domain by now. Since Lum and Abner were Arkansas boys, it is possible that the Ozark Cultural Resource Center archives might have the sheet music that you are asking for. At the moment, though, searching for it would be difficult, as they are still recovering from a recent remodeling, and many items are still packed away. |
