Henderson Guitar Festival (Grayson Highlands, VA.) - Here are the handful of Festival Photos - Henderson Festival Photos from last weekend's festival at Grayson Highlands park Henderson Festival 2009 The tie-breaker round among the amateur flatpickers featured Steel Guitar Rag vs Blue Angel. SGR won the day. Congrats to Eric Harden from Warrensville, NC. JD Crowe and the New South, Raymond Fairchild, Carl Jones and Beverly Smith, Jeff Little, Steve Lewis and Wayne H. filled out the performance. The show-stopper for me was listening to the Snyder Family Band Snyder Family Band from North Carolina. Samantha on fiddle (age 10) and Zeb on guitar (age 14) just blew me away....Steel Guitar Rag, Cry Holy Unto the Lord, Faded Love, Minor Swing, Leather Britches....Prodigy talent from the North Carolina hills...and their brother Jeb (3) is learning the banjo from the Kruger Bros.
