Gordon has just published a new book. It displays his carvings with narrative for each one. Beautiful piece of work.
Check his web site.

Very good to know. I have many if not all his albums and tend to work through them any given year.

It's a small gem, not unlike Dr. Who's TARDIS; containing much more beauty and skill than the size suggests. I bought the first one he brought to a recent gathering. Highly recommended!

Gordon is a talented carver. He would have done a good job of carving figureheads for clipper ships in the great years of sail, carving the spirit of the wind into the wood as the song says.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble, who only carves turkeys

His woodcarvings are stunning.   Just check the link.   Another side of him I certainly knew nothing about--and I imagine I'm not alone.

Kendall has one of him and Gordon. A slightly humorous piece if you look carefully.

The definition of art is that is looks as though it was done.
The definition of really good art is that it looks easy.
It isn't, I know because I'm still learning after all these years.

Gordon's carvings are at once enigmatic and clear-sighted; as are both his music and the man himself. Treasures, all. That Kendall was given one is an indication of how highly he and his friendship are valued by the maker.
