I have friends who collect vintage glass, some furniture, clothing etc .. We all admire vintage instruments, everyone is looking for vintage.

Last night home alone all week, I ate some vintage leftovers from my frig.. I am here to tell you, not all vintage is a good thing !

I can't even deal with the cheeses which are SUPPOSED to look & smell like that.

When I was young and single, always eating out and all that, my fridge went for months without opening. We then had a power failure from an ice storm that lasted 6 days.   A month or so later, I duct taped the fridge door shut and threw the whole thing out. I had no intention of opening that thing.........

Here's a tip Dan......If its green, its either very new lettuce or very old bacon.

Little Penicillium Notatens never hurt anyone. Shucks, the doctors would charge you big buck$ for what you can get for free out of your frig.

Rapaire,
your glass is always half full, make me look on the bright side. Maybe I can bring the rest to the docs and sell it ... never thought of that. Hell people are running ads on TV about colon cleanse ... I can give them something free of charge ... LOL

**pedant alert**

the...ummm...more genteel contraction for refrigerator is "fridge"

(yes, I see how the original is spelled)

**end pedant alert**

good one, olddude, a universal truth!

God mightn't have made chickens green in colour, but The Shiny Bum Singers know all about colourful stuff in fridges -

The office fridge is full of slime,
No-one has cleaned it in our time,
The shelves a feast of green and grey -
And what's that lurking in the tray?

scroll down for words to "The Office Fridge" (tune - The Red Flag)

I repeat - Damn Fool! Never eat old chicken.

We empty the office fridge once a month and clean it. Depite days of warning, someone always leaves a week of lunches there on clean out night. It all GOES! Containers and all. The alternative is blue, purple and green mold that no one will claim as their own.

And all that mold could be used to reduce your employer's health care costs.

Hmph!
