BS: Leggings - what on earth?????

In my many years on this planet I have seen some bad fashions but calf length leggings really do take the biscuit - especially when worn under a fairy dress. It looks absolutely hideous. I have seen "eyes only" islamic ladies being infinitely more fashionable!!

Very unlike the leggings I was forced to wear as a child - heavy, scratchy wool things to warm the legs (because we had to wear skirts. I hated them!

I never comment on a lady's clothing.

Except, of course, when invited to do so when I say, "No! Of course your bum doesn't look big in it! You look lovely!"

Spaw-

We could use one of those to spice up our sea music group. Are they costly? Are they litter-box trained?

The fairy dresses I've seen are pretty skimpy. Wearing one in public without leggings could cause men to accidentally walk into uncovered manholes.

Are we talking about legwarmers? They only look good teamed with a bodystocking.

I've been looking for some legwarmers to keep my calves warm. They get cold under my desk, from the a/c and in the winter from the cold floors. My daughters and I wore them in the 80s. They were all the rage in style then. The tights/leggings without feet are very comfortable, esp. under dresses. Keep the legs warm and free of chafing.

Thanks for the link, spaw. Now we all know what we're talking about.

That would be ludicrous if it weren't for the sad fact that it makes her calves look fat.

Tsk tsk

LOL, Spaw! If that is indeed what Bonzo had in mind, seems to me the problem is with the "fairy dress," not the leggings. And of course the purple hair....

I've worn legwarmers around the house, and inside wellington boots - but I haven't got round to the fairy dress yet.

I suppose there's still time...

I think I'll start a thread titled: "Nylon Slacks - What on Earth!!?"
A *far* more evil form of clothing IMO...

Forget that previous message. What I wanted to say was that men wore leggings for years.

We had to wear them in Boot Camp to distinguish the "Boots" from the old timers. That type covered the ankles.
