Sidmouth Bus Question

I have the Working Programme which says the times the buses will run.
However, it doesn't say on what DAY the service starts.

Anyone know if the bus be available on Thursday 30 July and Friday 31st?

(I emailed the Festival but no reply)

Thanks!

Any late night buses to Exeter or Exmouth this year?

Not the driver, but for a number of years I arrived on the Thursday, and led an evening session at the Bedford, having to use my car, and remain ale starved in the process.

Can the over-sixties use their bus passes?

Negative Topsie. This is a private service, and given the average age of folkies, they could conceivably go broke if they tried that.

Fares in the last few years did go up to £1.20 per trip, then came down again to £1, probably because of difficulties making change. I don't know what this year's fare will be.

I thought that would be the answer.
I remember a year, many years ago, when a bus pass was included in the season ticket - as a road safety measure it was excellent, with so many people on the bus who would otherwise have been walking along the busy pavementless road.

I now have an official answer from Richard Brecknock:

The full service starts on Friday 31st.

There will be a skeleton service starting on Thurs 30 afternoon from around 2pm, running through the evening until around 12pm. Frequency of service on Thursday will depend upon demand.
