Broadstairs to Cropredy? 2009

From: DebC

Just thought I'd ask if there might be anyone going from Broadstairs to Cropredy or even somewhere in Oxfordshire on Thursday, 13/8? I had a lift arranged with another performer, but it fell through.

Of course, I'll help with petrol and give you one of my CDs for the trouble.

I do understand that it might be a bit out of the way for someone, so no worries as I'll take the train if need be.

Thanks in advance,
Debra Cowan

Wish we could help but that's Johnny Collins funeral day. You never know, there might be a Catter out there doing that very combination, so keep trying!

Thanks, guru. I am extremely flexible and can go at any time. So if anyone is traveling to Middlesex, I'd be happy to ride with them, and then get a train to Banbury.

Cheers,
Debra

Thanks RB...I also see that Geoff Higginbottom is on at Broadstairs on the Wednesday and I would bet that he'll be traveling to Johnny's Memorial.

If anyone knows how to get in touch with Geoff, please send me a PM.

And thanks so much to all who have been helping. If you are at Broadstairs, and you do run into me, please come up and say hello.

best,
Debra

DebC are you going to be performing anywhere at Cropredy on the fringe events? Or just going as audience.

Will look out for you if you are on somewhere.

I am just going as audience. Didn't know there were fringe events :-)

The line up for the fringe at The Brasenose pub in the village is here

Brasenose

and for The Red Lion in the village here

Red Lion

There are a couple of TBC's at the Red Lion so that's why I wondered

I think I am pretty much tethered to the Festival site for the duration, Fran. I am at the mercy of my friends who go every year and know the "ropes".

Never been, but I am sure it will be a blast. My birthday is on the Saturday and can't think of a better way to spend it.

You'll have a Fab time if your friends are old Cropredy Hands. Will keep my fingers crossed that the weather stays fair for you!

Went to the train station and found out that I can get a train ticket for the same price on the day I travel. So there is still time for someone to come forward if they have room in the car, etc.

But it does look like I'll be traveling by train to Banbury.

Thanks to everyone who did try to sort it out for me. I really appreciate the effort and I do understand that sometimes the circumstances don't work out.

All the best,
Debra Cowan

Debra, it does look as though we'll have a space in the van if you want it. See you at the Singaround in the Sailing Club to sort out details.

Well, when it rains it pours! I arranged to get a lift with Kirsty McGhee to Banbury, so that is better I think.

See you tonight and thank you thank you thank you everyone who made an effort to help me get sorted.

Yes, Mudcat is a special place.
