This song was also recorded by Ritchie Havens on one of his earlier LPs. I can't remember if the song was written by Tuli Kupferberg or Ed Sanders. I'm surprised that it hasn't been taken up more for its pastoral sweetness (not words you'd automatically associate with The Fugs) and poesy. I just followed PoppaGator on to a Tuli K fan group over on FaceBook, and this reminded me of this great song. Cheers Norman |

I must have missed the chords link you posted when I did another search. The version here is an uncommon key to play it in, but C F G and Am (capo it on 3 for the chords here) will do. Alternatively, any key in 1, 4, 5 with the relative minor of the 1 chord. Maybe Mudcat peeps don't know the song, which surprises me. It ought to be a near standard by now.
